Our Mission

DENA Heals supports families impacted by disaster through culturally responsive healing, direct mutual aid, legal education, and trauma-informed care.

Rooted in Altadena and Pasadena, we provide both immediate relief and long-term recovery programming grounded in dignity, access, and community connection.

Mutual Aid Marketplace

The DENA Heals Marketplace, coordinated by Colibri Collective, offers essential items at no cost to individuals and families affected by the Eaton Fire.

The Marketplace is open by appointment only.

What we Do

The Dena Heals Wellness Center provides free, weekly programming grounded in trauma-informed and culturally relevant care. Services include mental health and grief support, somatic healing, meditation, yoga, preventative health screenings, and community-led healing circles. We also host wellness retreats designed to care for our community volunteers and grassroots partners who have devoted months of emotional and physical labor to help our community rebuild.

The Mutual Aid Marketplace is officially closed. We are deeply grateful to Colibrí Collective founders Shilpa Shaw and Melissa Parra for their months of dedicated service, operating the marketplace weekly and providing free essentials like clothing and hygiene products to our community. In July, the location transitioned to Jazzy Jams for Empowerment, a trusted local partner that offers vital resources to local youth. Learn more at: Jazzy Jams for Empowerment.
